MARGUERITE REY FLORENT '62 , retired after more than 40 years as a librarian at several institutions throughout New Orleans, including at Xavier. A significant contributor to Xavier throughout her lifetime, she established an endowed scholarship by setting up a $50,000 annuity. Now she will be able to leave behind her legacy to Xavier. "I have always wanted to make a major gift to Xavier because it has been such a big part of my life. Making Xavier the beneficiary of an annuity allows me to establish an endowment in honor of my father and mother that will ensure future generations of students will have the same opportunities that I had."
